History of Stephentown CDAs printed in "The History of Rensselaer County" by Nathaniel Sylvester Bartlett. This book was written in 1880 and includes histories on each town in Renssealaer County. This history of Stephentown includes hundreds of names of the residents who lived there, some of which are Carpenter, Douglas, Green, Brown and many more. Several genealogies are included as well. Find out what churches families belonged to, how burying grounds got started, what people did for a living and much more information on "The Only Stephentown On Earth." BONUS: I've included the History of Berlin as a bonus. Due to the close proximity of the two towns, many families traveled back and forth in order to work on the many farms in the area. 1850-1930 Federal Stephentown Censuses on CDNOW AVAILABLE - The actual images of the 1850-1930 Federal Stephentown Censuses, including the 1890 Veterans Schedule. These aren't transcriptions and they do contain all of the information available in each given year. Included as well are Census Extraction Forms for each year. All you have to do is print out the form, and use them to record the information you need. As each census was taken, more information was gathered.
